East Falls Historical Society

The East Falls Historical Society has been awarded a grant in the amount of one thousand dollars from Wachovia Bank's Community Partners Program. The money will be used to purchase equipment to conduct oral histories in East Falls.
We are looking for names of elderly East Falls residents whom we could interview in their homes at their convenience for the purpose of recording and archiving their memories of East Falls in a bygone era. Please contact Ellen Sheehan at sheehan3304@aol.com.
A model of the "Flying Yankee" train made by the Budd Company is on display at the Falls of Schuylkill Library meeting room. It was donated by former East Falls resident Jack Yerkes.
